Happy Valentines Day

Definition: Valentine's Day is often refered to as St. Valentine's Day. There were two Saints attributed to the naming of the holiday. Both men were imprisoned and killed for being Christians in the 3rd century A.D. One story goes that one of the Saints wrote a letter to his jailer's daughter for her kindness and signed it 'your Valentine'.
A more likely story is that both Saints died on February 14, which in Roman times was the night before a festival called Lupercalia.
This Roman festival had a lot to do with fertility and probably some of those customs got attached to the modern day celebrations of Valentine's Day.
Today, it is a day to tell people you love them and exchange Valentine's cards.

So today is Valentines Day. 14 February. >.<
(tbh) I don't actually know what Valentines Day is all about.. I've heard that you're supposed to spend your time with your loved ones, or if you're single (just like me), find love.
Maybe it's just me, but I really don't enjoy Valentines Day. I guess I'd be saying different if I had a boyfriend..but I don't.
I also just realized that 'spending your time with your loved ones' doesn't exactly have to refer to your boyfriend, I guess it could also mean your family? Or maybe someone that you really care about? (idk)
I hope that next year, it will be a lot better than this one >.< ㅋㅋ

Macca's - Papamoa

I've heard through a friend who lives in Singapore, that McDonalds (in Singapore) delivers.. How handy would that be? But, then everyone would get extra lazy, just like Pizza Hut lovers.ㅋㅋ
Anyway, I had a little trip to McDonalds (slang: Maccas, MacD's) with my parents today. I'm amazed I agreed to go with them, since I'm not into hanging out with the parents, Lol.
Mum got Dad to pay for the meals and it ended up being only him buying and eating the Maccasㅋㅋ Me and Mum decided to order McCafe. I don't know if you get it anywhere else (I doubt you don't), it's like a cafe that is part of McDonalds. It's really nice.

Anyway, long story short, I order a slice of carrot cake and a tall iced chocolateㅋㅋ

Oh yeah, the McDonalds in Papamoa, is the only one (I think) in Bay Of Plenty 24hr drive-thru, and the only one where you can refil your cup again and again. Lol,
A couple of my friends work here and say that it get's REALLY busy. I think that if I worked at a McDonalds, I would always eat it on my break.. ㅋㅋ >.<"
